Depart from your lodge after breakfast and drive towards the historical coastal town of Mombasa arriving for late lunch at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at your beach hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Mombasa
Morning excursion of Mombasa town, Mombasa is probably the most famous of the coastal towns and has some of the best hotels on the coast line of East Africa. The rich culture of Arab, Indian and Swahili peoples can be found at this coastal town.
A visit to Fort Jesus built by the Portuguese in the 15th Century as well as the surrounding neighbourhood of very historic architecture Shopping in the stalls of antique carvings and jewellery. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 9 and 10: Mombasa
